Objectives - The Objectives of The Docsea is Help and Project the Doctors Physically and Financially From Medical Negligence Cases as and When any Projects and the Doctors in Terms of Contesting Their Cases and Arranging The Compensation, if any, beign awarded by the court to the Complainants through the Insurance Company Against a Policy Being Taken by it Doctors Members Through Docsea.

On Friday, 6th August 2004 the only discussion that took place in the bar room of most courts and offices of consumer organisations was the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s decision to let doctors ‘off the hook’ in criminal complaints filed against them. For many vested interests, a very important weapon in their arsenal suddenly was defunct and this for them was a major cause of concern.

Standard books on Medical Jurisprudence contain excellent Chapters on "The Law in Relation to Doctors." The policy will indemnify any act committed by the insured, who shall be a Registered Medical Practitioner, giving rise to any legal liability to Third Parties. The Insured includes the policy holder and his qualified assistants or employees named in the proposal. The act has to be committed during the period of insurance commencing from the retroactive date.

1. Establishment of Consumer Disputes Redressal Agencies.—

There shall be established for the purposes of this Act, the following agencies, namely:—
